October is cranberry harvest time!

Harvesting lasted only three short weeks this year, and was completed on October 27.

Last year was a record-breaking crop, so although we expected to have lesser quantities this year, we did not expect to have yields this low.  A variety of factors have contributed to this low yield:  difficult weather conditions,  challenging pest control, “tired” plants after a bumper crop last year.

We were expecting a low-average year but our actual yield was even lower than expected.

As for our organic cranberries, yield was especially modest.

Moreover, we notice that our 2023 cranberries are on the small side.

We recommend that you book your volume early as quantities will be limited this year.
